TRAINING STATEMENT and
QUESTIONNAIRE
|
|
In most cases we have found there is a lack of vehicle
Air Conditioning knowledge in all departments of garages, body shops,
Agricultural repairers, Plant maintenance companies, Auto electricians and
Commercial vehicle repairers.
We are here to help and can train staff regarding Vehicle Air
Conditioning.
|
|
It’s not your fault or your staffs. Where do you get
such training? Will it be cost affective and worthwhile. I don’t know
much about vehicle A/C so why should my staff? Ignorance is no defence when things have gone wrong or you have not capitalized on the profit
potential of vehicle A/C.
|
RECEPTION: If you have a reception it
is the most important part of any garage or body shop.
It is where
business is won or lost. Your whole repeat business cycle depends on your
reception and its staff.
Reception staff need to understand
A/C terminology to converse proficiently with clients, suppliers and other
members of staff.
They require a basic knowledge of the 2 A/C systems, how
they work and their components.
The ability to identify components and
associated parts and consumables to carry out work on A/C systems and
quote accordingly is essential to avoid loss of revenue or profit in a
given job.
A basic understanding of what is involved when servicing and
repairing vehicle A/C will help communications between workshop and
clients.
Knowledge of the COSHH regulations appertaining to A/C
refrigerants and oils, the EPA ACT 1990 and retrofit options will also
help them advise clients on there options when presented with a quote for
repair.
A knowledgeable receptionist will not need to keep dragging the
foreman, technician or service manager from what ever they are doing to
explain to customer what ever needs explaining saving invaluable
non-productive time.
|
|
PARTS: If you have a parts department you would be amazed
at the long-winded conversations we have with parts personnel. With the
understanding of the above their working time would be so much more
productive extra sales could be generated and wrong ordered parts could be
minimized leading to an increase in profit.
|
OWNERS, GENERAL MANAGERS AND MANAGERS: All the above can
be learnt so you can evaluate whether your departments are working
efficiently and correctly and how best to implement you’re A/C strategy.
You will also be able to assess equipment requirements and costs.
It is our belief that every garage, body shop, Agricultural, Plant,
Auto electrical and Commercial vehicle repairers will be
carrying out vehicle A/C service and repairs and those that start early
and correctly will only go from strength to
strength.
|
WORKSHOPS: If you are already servicing
and repairing vehicle A/C you or your staff wont need training?
Or will you / they?
Try answering our questionnaire. Print
it, fill it in and fax or post it to us and we will check answers for you
and send it back. GOOD LUCK. Don’t forget to give us your details and
contact no’s so we can send it back.
Whether you are just thinking about
setting up or have been carrying out vehicle A/C repairs we are certain
you will be astounded by how much you will learn on the City & Guilds
6048, Vehicle Air Conditioning Introduction and the CITB Safe
Handling of Refrigerants course. |
| Should you have any questions regarding training please do
not hesitate to contact us. You can phone, fax or email the choice is
